LISTENING TO:

*The Redwalls: Universal Blues
Rock and roll, my friends.

*Kylie Minogue: Can’t Get You Out Of My Head
C’mon, it’s very catchy. I liked it when it came out, I’m not ashamed to say. Just got it on iTunes. That weird minimalistic/futuristic video, those gracefully descending bridge chords, the wordless chorus, c’mon, sing it with me…

*Miscellaneous Mexican Pop from the late 50s & early 60s
While I was in Cozumel, the poolside bar always had this vintage Mexican pop playing. Nice, simple production. Every song had same instrumentation: vocals, acoustic bass, acoustic guitar. Stripped-down, but cool.

WILL BE MISSING:
*Rodney Harrison, New England Patriots

Another injury to the already decimated New England defensive secondary, Harrison will miss the season w/ACL injuries. Harrison was a team captain, a true gamer & a treat to watch. How will the Pats recover? No one knows for sure, but they did manage to do in the Steelers at Heinz Field, *after* losing Harrison & Matt Light in the first quarter. Perhaps that’s how they’ll do it. PATS!
